It has been almost 10 years since the launch of the case and no judgment has been announced yet. During the course of the court proceedings, Dr. Rajan Mahtani and his team has shared numerous evidences, documents and testimonials that sufficiently prove his legal ownership over the factory. The signed shareholder agreement and financial exhibits clearly indicate his financial contribution and shareholding pattern. Another evidence was the audit report conducted by an independent auditor at the Zambezi Portland Cement. As per this report, the factory was established as a joint venture and Dr. Rajan Mahtani has remained the sole joint venture partner of the factory. Rest all of the members are just minority shareholders.
Even after submitting these documents, Dr. Mahtani could not achieve true justice. Meanwhile, the condition of the factory is worse. Most of the workers have either left due to non-payment of the wages or have fired by the capturers. The factory assets are corroding and the factory cash box has been emptied by the goons. It is clear to say that if the factory is not revived soon, the chances of getting it back to previous production values will become next to impossible. The judge overseeing the case has confirmed closure of case hearing and will announce final judgment soon.
